Terms of Sale & Use
Terms of Sale & Use
The rules for buying and using Renitor, written the way we'd want to read them. No walls of legalese — if anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it.
Last updated: Last updated 2026-07-15 · applies to renitor.com and the Renitor VS Code extension
- €49, once. You get a personal lifetime license for Renitor Pro — one person, all your machines. 12 months of updates included; the version you have keeps working forever.
- The key appears on screen once, right after PayPal payment. It is never emailed. Copy it. If you lose it, email support with your PayPal order ID and we'll recover it.
- 14-day refund, no drama. Try the built-in 14-day trial first; if you buy and it's not for you, email us within 14 days for your money back.
- Model costs are yours. Renitor connects to AI models through your own subscriptions and API keys. What you spend with Anthropic, OpenAI, or anyone else is between you and them.
- No big promises. The software is provided as-is, our liability is capped at what you paid, and your statutory consumer rights are never reduced by these terms.
This summary is for orientation. The sections below are the actual terms.
1Who you're buying from
Renitor is sold by [OWNER: legal name and address — required for consumer sales in the EU], reachable at support@renitor.com. It's a one-person operation — the person answering support email is the person who wrote the code.
2What you're buying
Renitor Pro — lifetime license for the Renitor VS Code extension, at €49.00, one time. That means:
- Per person, not per device. The license is for you, on every machine you personally use. We don't count installs and the software never phones home to check.
- Don't share or resell the key. One license covers one person. Teams should buy a license per person (email us for 5+ seat bundles).
- Lifetime means lifetime. The license never expires and verifies entirely offline — there is no activation server that could be switched off.
- 12 months of updates included from the date of purchase. After that, the versions you already have keep working forever; you just stop receiving new releases.
- The free core stays free. Handoffs and the free features don't require a license at all.
3Free trial
The Pro features come with a 14-day free trial built into the extension — no signup, no card, nothing to cancel. It just runs locally and stops after 14 days. We'd rather you try before you buy; it makes section 6 much less likely to matter.
4Payment
Payment is handled entirely by PayPal. This site never sees or stores your card details. When your payment completes, we store the minimum needed to prove your purchase and recover your key: your PayPal order ID, the email on your PayPal account, the license key, the amount, and a timestamp. Nothing else.
5How your license key is delivered
Immediately after payment, your license key is shown once on the confirmation page, with a copy button. It is not sent by email — no email leaves our systems, ever. Copy it and keep it somewhere safe (a password manager is ideal).
Lost the key, or closed the page too soon? Not a problem — email support@renitor.com with your PayPal order ID and we will recover the exact same key from our records. Your purchase is never lost.
6Right of withdrawal (EU consumers) and our refund policy
If you're a consumer in the EU or EEA, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content delivered instantly — like a license key shown right after payment — the law lets you waive that right: by starting checkout you expressly request immediate delivery, and you acknowledge that once your key is displayed, the statutory right of withdrawal ends (Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive). [OWNER: buy.html must show this consent as an explicit checkbox before payment — confirm it exists]
Here's the part that actually matters: we give you a better deal than the statute anyway. If Renitor isn't for you, email support@renitor.com within 14 days of purchase with your PayPal order ID and we'll refund you in full via PayPal. No forms, no interrogation. We ask only that you tell us what didn't work — it genuinely helps. If you take a refund, your license to use Pro ends and we trust you to stop using the key.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer, including remedies for digital content that doesn't work as described.
7AI model access and costs — the honest part
Renitor does not include, resell, or proxy access to any AI model. It works with your own accounts: your existing subscriptions (via the official CLIs you're already logged into) and your own API keys. That means:
- Whatever you spend on model usage is between you and your providers. Your €49 pays for the software, not for tokens.
- Your provider's terms apply to your provider's service. Renitor is designed to be conservative — it never touches your auth tokens and never wraps provider APIs — but providers set and change their own rules for how their subscriptions may be used, and we can't override them.
- Renitor does not bypass rate limits. Nothing can. It routes around them using access you already pay for.
8No warranties, in plain language
Renitor is provided as-is. We work hard on it and we fix things fast, but we don't promise it is free of bugs, that it fits your specific purpose, or that integrations with third-party tools will work forever — AI coding CLIs change their formats monthly, which is exactly why your purchase includes 12 months of updates. When an integration breaks, the design degrades gracefully rather than failing hard, and a fix is our top priority.
If you're a consumer, this section doesn't reduce your statutory rights: where the law guarantees that digital content must conform to its description, that guarantee stands.
9Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising out of your purchase or use of Renitor is capped at the amount you paid us (€49). This cap does not apply where it legally can't — for example intent, gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protections in your country.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION — OWNER TO CONFIRM]. If you're a consumer, you additionally keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring disputes before your local courts where the law provides for it.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when we add features or the law changes. Changes apply to future purchases, not retroactively to yours. The date at the top tells you when the text last changed.
